Franklinia alatamaha

Franklin Tree

Rare, uncommon tree because of its legendary history in America. A small tree of open habit with upright spreading branches of glossy bright green leaves. Fragrant white camellia-like flowers bloom in August until almost frost. Brilliant orange and red fall foliage and interesting winter bark character on older plants. Deserving of a prominent place in the garden.
